Perceptions of the Future Pedagogues on the Teaching Methodology of Creativity
doi
Abstract

A scientific study carried out by the "AREA. Analysis of Educational Reality” (HUM-672) Research Group of the Ministry of Knowledge, Research and University of the Junta de Andalucía and the University of Granada is presented, where the main general interest lies in knowing the perceptions that future professionals of education have about the teaching methodologies used in university classrooms for the promotion of creativity. For this purpose, and after authorization by the coordination of the degree, a descriptive and non-experimental research fundamentally focused on the application of the standardized survey technique was designed on a sample of 244 (N = 558) subjects officially enrolled in the four courses that make up the Degree of Pedagogy at the University of Granada (Spain) during the academic year 2017/18, and thanks to which, it has been possible to verify with completeness that these students value better the joint use of diverse creative teaching methodologies in the daily work of the classroom, as well as the collaborative social learning, in contrast to many of the approaches made by their faculty professors of the subjects that make up the degree that, in their opinion, don’t tend to encourage the development of creativity as a personal and professional competence.
