This article tries to advertise the characterization of the evaluation of teaching processes, taking place at fourteen universities that form part of the Dean Counsel. By means of a questionnaire sent by e-mail and telephone interviews the comments made by the people in charge of the evaluation process in each university were collected. The results yield a deep heteronomy ranging from the absence of absence of absolute policies and evaluation models, to institutions which have designed validated and normalized their processes. The participation of several informants and by means synthesizing their information, give the teaching evaluation a holistic dimension that guarantees the complete taking on of a process that is a delicate as it is complex. Without a doubt, selfevaluation, peer evaluation as well as that made by a superior, on the whole give consistency to a job where the opinion of student have always prevailed.
