.Abstract | |||||
This text highlights some of the pointed out at the debate in the international plane that coincided, first, in a diagnosis on the crisis suffered by higher education, and then, on the evaluation as a strategic measurement which will help revert the deterioration and elevate the quality of this educative level. In particular, it emphasizes the posture of the two multilateral organisms and their argumentation lines on quality and evaluation, as well as the valorization to the suggestion proposed at the two most important word-wide forums on higher education that have been carried out to the date. The text questions itself on the consequences of the vast and complex system of evaluation installed in Latin-America almost two decades ago and the eventual benefits that it had promised. Above all, it draws the attention to fact that the debate went mostly on the technical and normative aspects of evaluation, and little was questioned on the changes that it has produced, the implications to the academic activities of the IES and especially for the evaluation of the teaching activity. |
