The Cohesion of the Group, as a Key Factor for Collaborative Work in Basic Education

.Abstract

The aim of the study was to establish the influence of the school leader to encourage collective cohesion in compliance with educational project in basic education; when it is identified that the group regularly acts according to his own ends and interests, often subordinating the objectives established by the educational system, and even many teachers perform outside the interests of the collective. The study responds to a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. There were interviewed 20 principals of basic education and 80 teachers of primary education answered an open survey for a diagnosis on the cohesion of the group and the leadership profile of the school principal. The cohesion of the group, can be seen as a dynamic variable, which is constantly changing, depending on all the actors maintain unity and remain attached to the educational project. It is essential to recognize that every action that the school leader starts can cause the connection or disconnection of the members of his team. It is recognized that the cohesion cannot be achieved completely, and always appears as a variable that should be regulating permanently.
