A social activist in London, Ontario with an educational background in sociology and comparative and international education, Robert Gough was the founding director of one of the first counselling services in Canada for men who assault their spouses/partners. He was involved in developing a violence prevention program for youth in Ontario schools before taking a position to promote diversity education and transition to university for new students at Western University. Bob co-founded a development program working with women’s groups in East Africa on a social enterprise making probiotic yoghurt which builds immune response for people living with HIV/AIDS. Working with student interns with this program sparked Bob’s interest in research into perspective transformation and mutual and reciprocal relationships between the global North and South.
