This paper presents a research sub-project developed at the University of Vigo. The aim of this project is to promote inclusive educational processes, articulated on a gradual basis from schools to the local community The development of the project is expected to progress in an inter-dependent manner, in three areas: intra-school, inter-schools and inter-services. In this work, we delve into a participatory study on educational transitions in a town that was developed with the collaboration of teachers; students and families of 6 schools and various entities in a local community. Here the data generated around the Transitional Education Primary Education Secondary Education are analyzed. The results are presented on three focus of interest. The first relates how to imagine and what fears posed to students, families and teachers about the access to secondary education. A second focus examines the practices and trends in the individual performances of schools to address these changes. Finally, the third focus identifies guidelines and proposals that participants proposed to design a plan to ensure equal opportunities for all in secondary transitions from a community perspective. |
