This research sets the target to identify the ethical aspects of research in education, considering Resolution 196/96 of the National Health Council concerning guidelines for research in which human beings have. They resorted to conceptual reflection and based on bibliometrics and content analysis used to describe the scientific production of 73 theses and dissertations in a Brazilian university. They found that participants were 2606 that 74% of the studies analyzed were not submitted to the Ethics Committee. It was noted that research in this area do not pose risks to participants, which refers to the importance of building a culture of bioethics in Education, as all research intervention involves risk to the participant, for minor or rare they are, must be provided.
