Effectiveness of Educational Program of Advanced University Superior Technician in Administration. A Self-Diagnostic through the CIPP Model

.Abstract
 

This paper reports the results of a case of study of an assessment performed to the Educational Program of University Superior Technician in Administration, in an institution from the system of Technological Universities in Mexico. The aim of this study was to assess the context components, inputs, process, and products from this program, to verify the degree of fulfilment of their performance according to the national guidelines. For this assessment, it was uesed the information from five previous studies with students, alumni, professors, and employers. The results show that the program responds to the needs of background context from which the students come,and that there are the necesary inputs for its operation; however, the teaching process is not carried out accordingly to the established criteria; graduates are not satisfied by the achieved wages and the little recognition of their profession; employers of large and medium-sized enterprises companies present high levels of satisfaction for the performance of graduates, not so those od small firms, indicating that during thier vocational training graduates were moderately enabled with specific competences to meet the needs of this sector of employers.
