Abstract | ||||||
The inclusion of students with special needs in regular schools is still an issue that affects the everyday structure of both classrooms and schools. This text presents a successful case of inclusion of children with hearing disabilities in a public school that took the risk of modifying its habits to raise awareness about the value of “educating all boys and girls”, without discrimination. This paper analyses the elements, conditions and factors that were at play in this experience and justifies why this can be called a true case of democratic inclusion. |
